Ms. Paul was inspired to open a virtual reality arcade after taking her son and his friends to Busch Gardens and seeing the enjoyment they got out of the arcade at the park. At the end of the day, she asked the kids what they enjoyed most at that park, and it was the virtual reality arcade. From there, Ms. Paul was inspired to bring the magic to her own community and began researching the industry. In 2018, her dream was realized upon opening the doors to the Virtual X Inc DBA VX Virtual Reality Arcade.
Prior to starting her business, Ms. Paul garnered experience in business management as the co-owner of It Tastes for Wine. She served in this capacity from 2014 to 2019. Before this role, she served as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Information Systems for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. On a civic level, she has served as the co-president for her kid’s preschool. Out of all her achievement, she considers motherhood to be the one that stands out the most. Business-wise, what warms her heart the most is to see the kids and adults smiling and experiencing virtual reality in a safe environment.
In five years, Ms. Paul plans on having multiple franchises of the VX Virtual Reality Arcade. She sees herself going to the different locations, and helping others build their business. She would also like to have a training facility. She attributes her success to her two children who are so amazing and inspirational. She maintains professional affiliation with the St. Petersburg Rotary Club and in 2021 was recognized with the Women in Rotary Award.
